Roles and responsibilities
With a strong background in the online enablement, integration and custom development across multiple languages and vendors, Sam is an experienced Solution Architect who delivers IT solutions that successfully meet the requirements of an enterprise while fully aligning to its architecture.
Sam specialises in bridging the gap between business and technical stakeholders. His primary responsibilities include end-to-end solution design, system impact and team leading during delivery phases.
Sam has led technically complex integration projects using multiple vendor technologies that have involved the integration of up to eight disparate internal and external systems, to realise e business outcomes. He has implemented solutions involving business industry standards such as eBix eXchange and Origo.
In the B2E domain Sam delivered solutions that enable businesses to connect with their employees and to allow their employees to search, publish and find the information they require to successfully do their jobs. In the B2B domain he drove projects that enable customers to make easier online transactions, significantly increasing sales as well as reducing the cost to serve.
Sam’s excellent communication and influencing skills allow him to gain trust and build consensus from multiple stakeholders ranging from C level executives through to application developers.
Previous experience
Before joining Oakton, Sam worked for a UK IT consultancy delivering solutions for clients such as Thames Water, Barclays, Axa Life, and Barclaycard.
