A well-respected, highly experienced health informatics specialist, Brin is a healthcare solutions architect in the rapidly expanding speciality of eHealth in the public and private sectors.

Delivering efficiencies to health business bottom lines through enhanced IT processes and software, Brin is a skilled analyst of clinical and administrative processes as well as a modeller of information/data standards required in this sector.

He is an experienced developer of specifications of requirements for eHealth information systems, skilled in combining the needs of clinicians within a pragmatic business model. His knowledge and experience covers traditional institutional-based service delivery models as well as ambulatory and primary care and, more recently, consumer-centric whole-of-health.

Offering a strategic overview as well as achievable implementation options, Brin has conducted or facilitated software evaluation to place clients at the leading edge of eHealth business enhancement.

For many years, Brin has been a guest lecturer on Health Informatics on the University of Sydney’s Masters in Health Informatics.

Previous experience

Before joining Oakton, Brin worked for vendors of healthcare solutions as Business Development Manager/Health Solutions Director as well as Information Architect electronic health records. His roles in the healthcare sector include strategic/advisory and consulting at various levels: ministerial/government, area/network service providers, individual hospitals and private practices.
